Jefferson, ColinBecame a Christian in my early teens at an Evangelical church in Bedlington Northumberland). Helped with various T.E.S. (The Evangelisation Society) campaigns in the 70’s encouraged by an evangelist, and my early mentor, Howard Donaldson. Met my future wife, Janet, in 1972 whilst helping a church on the Oxmoor Estate, Huntingdon.

Trained as a Primary School teacher (specialising in Maths/Art) in Liverpool (1970/73). Taught in Clitheroe, Rawtenstall, Oswaldtwistle, Sale and Alderley Edge.

Attended an Anglican church in Clitheroe (St. James) in the 70’s. In the mid 80’s, we moved to Sale and eventually became members of Altrincham Baptist Church.

Retired in 2011 and moved permanently to Sawston, Cambridgeshire. Soon settled at our current church, Great Shelford Free Church, where we feel God has called us to.  We have found the friendliness, the family atmosphere, the preaching of the Gospel to be some of the things that have helped us realise why God has called us here.

My time is now divided between being Chairman of Shelford Twinning Association (twinned with Verneuil-en-Halatte north of Paris), our house in France (a potential place of retreat), and supporting my two sons: Tim (eldest) – who teaches Maths in Swaffham, Norfolk; Nick (youngest) – who is customer services manager with P&O cruises. Most importantly, my wife is my number one priority in life.
