Assistant Minister Job Opportunity

Location:    Great Shelford Free Church (Baptist), Cambridge CB22 5EY
Salary:        A competitive salary based on experience. Possibility of accommodation.
Hours:        Full time preferred at 37.5 hours per week.
There can be flexible working arrangements, to be discussed at interview.

Great Shelford Free Church (Baptist) (GSFC) is a generous, friendly, welcoming community-focused group of Christians, which is keen to see the church family grow spiritually as well as numerically.  We want to see people who join us for community events take that step of faith and develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Working alongside our minister in building relationships and sharing the gospel, the successful applicant’s role would focus on families, youth and children.

GSFC is looking for a candidate who will:

  • develop the church’s ministries and pioneer new ones.
  • lead, work with, encourage, and support church volunteers.
  • be self-motivated and able to initiate new projects.
Competence in the administrative and technical skills required to fulfil the role is also a requirement.

This post could be suitable for a minister in training.

GSFC is an equal opportunity employer, and this role requires the post holder to have an active Christian faith as an occupational requirement.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all staff and volunteers must ensure that the highest priority is given to the church’s safeguarding guidance and regulations.  The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
