What We Believe
As a church we believe
-
That Jesus is the Son of God,
-
He died for our sins and rose again.
-
In the Trinity and that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We are prepared to wrestle with scripture and explore its meaning for us today, recognising there will be different views.
-
That unity, not uniformity, is important. We are generous of people’s views. We aim to be non-judgemental, accepting and loving the person regardless of their actions.
-
God is love and loves everyone without exception, and that Jesus’s commandment to love others as we have been loved is vital.
-
We should be caring for God’s creation and aim to be ecologically sound.
-
Everything we do needs to come from a strong relationship with God.
We are New Testament Christians believing that the Old Testament points to Jesus.
